How to describe my job?
When people ask me this question, I often respond that I am the person who comes to bother you when your work is not done, who looks over your shoulder and scolds you when your tasks are not completed as planned within the allocated budget and deadlines.
The reality is somewhat different; at least for me it is. Will I do what I listed above? The answer is yes, without hesitation. But above all, what I want you to remember is that this part only represents half of my job.
Above all, my job is to make you happy, to brighten your days.
I know, I know, it’s very corny of me, but it’s so close to reality. The happier you are to come to work, the better you will feel in a suitable environment, the more relaxed you will be with your colleagues and superiors, the more reliable and tailored to your needs the processes will be, the fewer obstacles there will be to prevent your tasks from progressing, and the more productive, autonomous, and efficient you will become.
It’s important to remember that we spend 80% of our time at work. As a result, you’ll be happy to get up in the morning, you’ll feel a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day, and you’ll enjoy your personal life more, without worrying about work issues.
And that’s a triple win: for you, for your employer, and for me. That’s what I call a job well done. That’s how I like to see my job: making sure you are professionally accomplished and fulfilled in your daily life.
